If you have more money than time, send the carb bank you bought to MagnAndy, (check his sig for threads on rebuilding them yourself) and just work on the rest of the bike until you get them back.
You need to rebuild either the ones ON the bike, or the ones OFF the bike, (if in fact you got a bank of FOUR carbs of eBay, not ONE). Now if you bought a new (used) bank of carbs off eBay, you are in the same position as you were before you bought them. This is how the other bikes is the series are. I also believe that what you have is a bank of FOUR carbs, NOT one. I believe what you need is a rebuild of your carb bank. People have paid less for V30s in better condition, and they have paid more for V30s in worse condition.
Keep in mind yours is a two-year, limited production bike that is highly desirable, even collectible to some. If you are happy with what you paid, that's all that matters.
